What changes are ahead for January 1? New HMDA data, expanded demographic information collected January 1st and a review of the new 1003, including the form itself and the timelines.

Along with HMDA, substantial changes are being made to the Uniform Residential Loan Application or URLA (form 1003). Lenders can begin using the new 1003 on July 1, 2019 with the new URLA required in February 2020. The new demographic addendum effective January 1, 2018 will be discussed, along with previewing the new URLA form itself and instruction for its proper completion. Participants will learn about the driving forces behind the new URLA including ULAD and HMDA, and review the form line-by-line, learn how to complete the form with a detailed look at the expanded race, ethnicity and sex information required, and explore the various anti-fraud aspects and protections afforded by the URLA.
